Important Congregational Meetings & Vote in April
Informational Congregational meetings to discuss TGIF/HCI report:
Thursday, April 19 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 22 at 11:15 a.m.
The TGIF report will be presented to the congregation in two meetings on Thursday, April 19 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 22 after the Worship Service. Childcare will be provided at both meetings, as well as transportation. Please let the PAUMC office know if you need either of these.
A draft of the report shared with the PAUMC TGIF team noted that the team “has done and continues to do a remarkable and highly effective job in implementing this initiative” under the “strong and effective leadership” of Rev. Suzanne Mades. The consultants were “encouraged by the high level of participation by leaders and other members of the church all during the weekend consultation” to “believe this congregation has the potential” to be “reborn into a God-directed, passionate, energetic, outwardly focused, missionary force for the transformation of its neighborhood and the world.”
All-Church meeting and vote: April 29 at 11:15 a.m.
The report will include five strategic recommendations for the revitalization of the PAUMC congregation that will be considered and voted on April 29 after worship at an All Church Conference. If all five of the strategic recommendations are accepted, we will have the assistance of Kay Roberts in implementing actions to achieve them over the next years. This assistance will be underwritten by the Conference through the Healthy Church Initiative.
Members of the congregation are encouraged to attend one of the informational meetings and the All Church Conference to help launch the next stage in our rebirth as a healthy, vital church. We look forward to the next phase of implementing the recommendations that will lead to growth, spiritual development, and active ministry to our community.
