SUNDAY SCHOOL - 8:45-9:45 am; September through May
Kids at The PORT "Live B.I.G." each Sunday morning during Sunday School. "Live B.I.G." is a curriculum which helps children learn about the love of God through Jesus so they can live their "Belief In God.” Using DVD's, hands-on activities, and resources that go beyond the classroom, dedicated teachers encourage children by providing Christian role models and by helping them gain a deeper understanding of Jesus and the impact He can have on their lives. We believe it is important that our children know that everyone at the church, young children, teens and even parents are always learning more about the church and about God.
Children's Sunday School Classes: Nursery (Birth to 2) Toddler Class ages 2-4 Elementary Class #1 grades K-2 Elementary Class #2 grades 3-5
Adults are invited to join together from 8:45 - 9:40 am each week (September-May) for a time of prayer followed by discussion of a wide range of study materials. Currently (April, 2013) there are two Sunday School classes meeting on Sunday morning:
·"It's All About Grace" - The Book of Romans: No book of the Bible more clearly illuminates the path of the Christian life than the book of Romans. We can read and study the same inspired letter that brought life and power to Martin Luther and John Wesley, and the same Holy Spirit who taught them, can teach us. Class Facilitator: Chris Seid
·Comparative Religions: Religion is a central feature of human life. This study provides a systematic and comparative framework for understanding the complex and multi-dimensional nature of religion. It explores the many similarities that link all religions, as well as some of the major differences. Class Facilitator: Paul Richardson
